"I had 3 little ones, pregnant with my 4th. I was just keeping my head above water.
At 8pm the doorbell rang, a group of teenage girls from church had decided to make dinner for my family. A simple dinner I could stick in the fridge, pull out any night of the week I needed it.
This stopped me in my tracks. I said, “why me?” Maybe someone would bring me dinner after I had the baby, but why now? I still had 4 months to go. They simply said, “We thought it might help you out.” AND IT DID. Not only did it help me that week, but that act of service continues to help me.
Those girls lifted me when I didn’t even know I needed to be lifted. They thought about me. And because of their sweet example I wanted to do the same for others. I learned that the gift of a meal, for a mom, is one of the best ways to lift and love.
Join us tomorrow in passing along this gift!”- Allison, The Giving Manger Co-Founder
